Happy first day of autumn, Halloween lovers!!!
Today is the equinox, which means that everyone on Earth experiences a perfect 50-50 balance of sunlight and darkness. This only happens twice a year: once in March and once in September. On each of these days, we all experience 12 hours of daylight and 12 hours of night.
In ancient times, equinoxes were sacred, inspiring the creation of monuments like Stonehenge and the Megalithic Temples of Malta, which were built to align perfectly with the equinox sun on those two special days.
So imagine taking a deep breath of crisp, leafy air and then stepping into the warm orange light of autumn, knowing those longer, darker nights full of strange magic are finally here.
