In certain states (mostly in the south and central region), there exists a chain of stores called Garden Ridge. They’re big warehouses that sell home decorations and craft supplies. And I love them because they put Halloween merchandise out in July. Plus, they have aisles and aisles of the stuff.

Tragically, the area I live in now (New York) does not have a Garden Ridge, but I visited Texas a couple of weeks ago and made sure to stop by the store to see this year’s offerings. Here are the results of my fieldwork.

Scarier than some haunted houses (especially with Phil Collins’s “Sussudio” blaring over the store’s speakers).

Such a huge collection, and I only had a suitcase’s worth of space! I left with just some s’mores-flavored candy corn and orange, green, and purple globe lights. ^_~
